If you have ever visited the Outer Banks or the coastal waterways of NC, then you are aware of their splendor. This area is the
home of numerous species of migratory waterfowl and native birds as well as otter, muskrat, and raccoon. Bald eagle and osprey
are normal sitings in this area. Currituck Sound is a major wintering area for tundra swan, which return every year from their
summer home on the arctic tundra. These waters are known for blue crab and many species of fish are taken commercially and
also are pursued for sport fishing. Boating, waterskiing, tubing, jetskiing, sailing, and kayaking are among other activities enjoyed
on these waters.
